Rice Lake Soccer Association relies on volunteers to maintain and grow our program. All families are asked to indicate your volunteer preference during the registration process. Please see below for a listing of duties and their role.
Coach & Assistant Coach: Coaches and Assistant Coaches are needed for both the Travel and Rec Leagues. The state requires coaches complete an online risk management class yearly and have a background check once every two years. We encourage our coaches to participate in a coaching clinic if they do not have prior soccer experience. RLSA will provide coaches with rules and practice plan ideas. Coaches and Assistant Coaches always coach their own child's team and their child's registration fee is refunded at the end of the season if the parent volunteers all season.
Team Manager: Team managers act as the information provider for their team and can communicate mostly by email. Team managers are asked to attend the first day of practice to hand out and collect important information. Team managers relay info from RLSA to the parents on their team. If you can copy and paste a message and send it to 8-15 names on a list, you can be a Team Manager. Team managers need to complete an online risk management class yearly and have a background check once every two years.
